The ministry was officially launched in November 2022 during a conference that brought together women from various districts to receive the vision and be equipped to start ministry work in their respective areas. Since then, WOMFCI has continued to host annual women’s conferences every December in Mbale City.
Prior to each conference, the ministry conducts open-air crusades and door-to-door evangelism to reach the lost in the communities.
Women are encouraged to actively serve the Lord within their districts by organizing women’s conferences, open-air crusades, prayer meetings, and by applying the skills gained from the regional conference.
Women from all districts travel to Mbale City for the annual conference, where the Word of God is ministered and practical workshops are conducted. These include marriage workshops, financial and skills empowerment sessions, youth (ladies) workshops, and programs for single mothers.
WOMFCI also identifies and supports vulnerable women from rural areas by providing financial assistance, clothing for children, and scholastic materials to help needy children remain in school.
Accommodation and meals are provided for all delegates traveling from different districts and cities.
Each year, the conference hosts speakers from different districts and countries who consistently impart meaningful and impactful teachings to the women.
The ministry is led by an executive committee made up of women from various churches and ministries. Each district has coordinators and mobilizers responsible for gathering human and financial resources to support the women’s ministry.
WOMFCI is a registered organization with URSB, with its office located in the Northern City Division of Mbale City, Uganda, East Africa.
